1. Local-First Philosophy

Study Revision is designed as a local-first web application. This means that all study logs, task items, custom subjects, sticky notes, and Pomodoro focus history are stored directly on your computer or mobile device.

We use client-side storage mechanisms, specifically IndexedDB and browser localStorage. Your study statistics and memo notes do not leave your device and are never transmitted to, stored on, or shared with external servers.

2. Data We Collect

Because this application runs entirely locally in your web browser:

• Personal Information: We do not ask for, collect, or store any personal credentials, names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
• Telemetry Data: The productivity telemetry chart dashboard compiles focus minutes and target achievements, but this computation happens locally. No third-party tracking beacons (e.g., Google Analytics) are embedded.
• Cookies: No cookie-based cross-site tracking is utilized. We may utilize standard local storage indicators solely to preserve UI layout preferences.

3. Data Security & Backups

Since your study records are stored in your browser's memory sandbox:

• Your data security is managed by your browser and your local operating system.
• Clearing your web browser cache or deleting site data may erase your study history. We advise caution when running "CCleaner" or similar storage sweeping software.
• We do not have access to your data and cannot recover deleted study sessions or lost notes for you.

4. Erasing Your Data

You retain absolute control over your information. At any point, you can instantly erase all tasks, timers, subjects, and analytics records by navigating to the header bar and selecting the RESET DASHBOARD action, or by clearing your browser site data for this domain.
